El TLCAN cuestionado por sus dueños, o ya no importa

Resumen: Hasta ahora, las pasadas discusiones sobre TLCAN no han encontrado algún punto importante de acuerdo, sino todo lo contrario. Los enfrentamientos entre la clase política, los corporativos transnacionales y las empresas nacionales sólo crecen, en particular entre Canadá y México. La discusión sobre los diferenciales salariales entre México,Canadá y EEUU, que podría romper sucesivas reuniones sobre TLCAN, encubre la sustitución de la mano de obra por los nuevos esquemas robotizados en la industria automotriz que fabricará automóviles eléctricos autónomos. Al final, la interrogante es dónde se coloca el interés nacional mexicano frente a todo esto. ¿Acaso Existe? |
Un sátrapa en la presidencia de Estados Unidos

Resumen: Según la Academia de la Lengua Española, se entiende por sátrapa a la “persona que gobierna despótica y arbitrariamente y que hace ostentación de su poder”. No existe un sustantivo adjetivado más exacto para definir al actual presidente de EEUU. Para gobernar, un sátrapa avanza con el vaciamiento del Estado e instala a su familia en los puestos de control, conforma un gobierna con su familia, para su familia y en familia. Bajo estas condiciones, la posibilidad de gestión política de los problemas económicos, militares y sociales no puede ser democrática. |

According to the Inter-American Development Bank, Latin America is an easy target for cyber-attacks because the region has no cyber infrastructure to resist or prevent them. It is in this context that some 20 Indian information technology (IT) companies employ more than 40,000 people in Latin America. These companies are driving the digitization of the region, using machine learning and artificial intelligence to take the region to Industry 4.0. India's brand in Latin America is through 'sophisticated' investments in the services and manufacturing sector, stimulating value-added sectors (a contrast to China's investments in raw materials). One Indian auto parts company alone, the Samvardhana Motherson Group, has 27 manufacturing plants in Latin America employing 25,000 people. The bottom line? Indian investment creates far more jobs on average. The India-Brazil relationship is probably the most important in the India-Latin America branch of relations, and the foreign minister's visit consolidated the various interests in bilateral ties, including the expansion of the India-Mercosur partial scope agreement. In Paraguay, the foreign minister inaugurated the new Indian embassy in Asuncion - India's fifteenth embassy in Latin America and the Caribbean. Fuente: |
